Restore Hope in Your Fertility Journey with Mercier Therapy

Hands-on. Deeply Holistic. Rooted in Science.

At Mamas & Misses in Holland, we’re now offering Mercier Therapy — a gentle, yet powerful pelvic health approach designed especially for women who are ready for something beyond the typical fertility track. If you’re dealing with endometriosis, PCOS, scar tissue, challenging cycles, or medical fertility treatments that haven’t yet given you results — this could be the missing piece.

You’re exhausted from trying. You’re hopeful but frustrated.

You’ve tracked, charted, supplemented, maybe even tried IVF or other assisted methods, and you still haven’t seen the outcome you’re longing for. You may feel like your body is working against you:

The pelvis feels tight

Scar tissue or adhesions linger

Your ovaries aren't responding

Endometriosis pain keeps showing up

Hormones and flow feel out of sync

At Mamas & Misses, we see you. We understand how it feels to want to bring new life into the world and to feel like your body is an obstacle rather than an ally. That changes here. You don’t have to feel broken — you just need the right support, from someone who honors your body, your story, and your path

What is Mercier Therapy?

Mercier Therapy is a manual therapy approach developed by Dr. Jennifer Mercier, specially designed to restore healthy pelvic organ mobility, improve blood flow, and remove the physical restrictions that may be affecting fertility, reproductive health, and pelvic wellness.

In simpler terms:

  • It helps your reproductive organs (uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and surrounding structures) move freely — which can reduce symptoms like pelvic pain, scar-tissue tension, and hormone-related disturbances.

  • It supports natural conception and improves outcomes when used alongside assisted fertility treatments.

  • It offers a holistic, body-based alternative (or complement) to fertility treatments such as IUI and IVF — recognizing that your body’s physical terrain matters just as much as your hormones and cycles.

At Mamas & Misses, Dr. Nicole Bringer (DPT) is certified in Mercier Therapy and brings a compassionate, evidence-based lens to this work — honoring your story, your goals, and your unique body.

What to expect: Your Path with us
Here’s how we’ll walk together:

Initial Consultation (75-90 minutes)
We’ll dive into your full fertility/health history, current fertility or pelvic concerns (endometriosis, PCOS, surgery or C-section scars, etc.), movement and posture, and create a tailored plan.

Mercier Therapy Sessions
The program is custom-tailored to each individual woman's situation and will be discussed in further detail at your consultation. Typically the Shared Journey Fertility Program starts with a 6-week intensive where hands-on visceral and organ-mobility work is applied.  Sessions happen in-office at our Holland location.

Support & Integration
Because your body is more than one hour a week, we provide actionable home strategies — education on cycle tracking,  guidance on lifestyle support (nutrition, stress, sleep), and recommendations for labs and additional testing as needed so your body has the best chance of responding to Mercier Therapy.

Follow-Up & Maintenance
After your initial 6 week intensive, we’ll chart your progress and provide you with long-term support: preparing for conception, supporting an assisted cycle, or simply building a fertile, healthy pelvic environment for the future.

Do I Qualify for this? Who is this for?

This work is ideal for you if you:

  • Have been diagnosed (or suspect) endometriosis, PCOS, high FSH, luteal phase defects, autoimmune infertility, recurrent miscarriage
  • Experience irregular or painful menstrual cycles
  • Want a non-medication, holistic approach to overcoming infertility
  • Are planning on utilizing IUI or IVF and want to increase your chances of a successful pregnancy
  • Are ready to commit to your body, show up, trust the process, and make small changes outside the therapy room (movement, rest, etc.).

This work may not be right if you are looking for a one-time quick fix — it’s deeper than “one session and done.” The best outcomes come when you fully commit.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Is Mercier Therapy painful?

This is hands on, deep tissue work that can be uncomfortable on some areas of your body.  It uses slow manual movements to mobilize organs, soften adhesions, and restore flow. Women often report feeling a sensation of relaxation,  release or emotional sensations as their bodies open up, but it’s not a forceful or aggressive treatment.

Can I do this alongside IVF or medication?

Yes. In fact, combining this therapy with assisted reproductive technology may improve the environment your body is working within.

What about insurance?

At Mamas & Misses we operate on a cash-based model. This means no hidden deductibles, and we focus entirely on what you need—not what insurance demands. (You may choose to seek reimbursement post-visit if you’d like, and we're happy to provide you with a superbill to do so.)

Can I receive Mercier Therapy during the 2 week wait?

Yes — it is completely safe to continue Mercier Therapy during the two-week wait window after ovulation or embryo transfer, all the way up until a positive pregnancy test. The therapy remains gentle and supportive, promoting relaxation and healthy circulation without interfering with implantation. Once pregnancy is confirmed, we transition to pregnancy-specific pelvic care if desired.

What results can I expect, and how long?

Results vary for each woman based on her personal journey.

That being said, a ten-year Mercier Therapy study found that 83% of participants conceived naturally within one year after completing the full six-week protocol — without the use of IVF or other medical interventions.

Among those who chose to pair the therapy with assisted reproductive technology, conception rates were still significantly higher than national averages.

While we can’t promise identical results for everyone, our promise at Mamas & Misses is to bring the same level of compassionate, evidence-based care to each client —giving you the best chance for success.

Will I need surgery or medication afterward?

Every situation is unique. Many women find that as their body becomes more mobile and balanced, symptoms like pelvic pain, restricted flow, or hormonal imbalance lessen — and the need for further intervention decreases. Others use Mercier Therapy as preparation for IVF, IUI, or gynecologic surgery to improve outcomes and recovery.

Either way, our goal is the same: to help your body become as open, strong, and healthy as possible for whatever next step you choose.

Ready to restore hope?

You’ve probably tried a handful of “what ifs” in your fertility or pelvic health journey. What if your body could do this? What if the scar tissue, the tightness, or the pain could finally soften? What if your pelvis felt free — aligned, open, ready?

At Mamas & Misses in Holland, we’re here to help you rediscover that hope. Mercier Therapy is a holistic, hands-on protocol designed to restore pelvic mobility, improve blood flow, and bring your body back into balance. Each program begins with a 75-90 minute initial consultation where we’ll discuss your history, goals, and whether this approach is right for you.

Because this is a specialized, deeply personalized service, we offer a limited number of new Mercier Therapy clients each month at our Holland clinic. You’ll always know your investment up front — no hidden deductibles, no rushed appointments, just one-on-one, compassionate care designed to give your body the best chance for success.

If you’re ready to take a new step — one that honors your story, your body, and your dreams of conception — we invite you to schedule your initial consultation today. Together, we’ll create a plan that helps your body feel whole, supported, and capable once again.

Let’s restore hope, and help your body remember what it was beautifully designed to do.
